Format specification

The format specification is not available online, therefore the information presented here is derived from publicly available data, and may not be complete.

Encoding:  ASCII text
Limitations: Point/Cylinder soma. No markers. No spines.

The first line is the integer number of total sample points

Other non-empty lines each represent a single neuron sample point with seven data items (separated by whitespace).

contiguous, starting from '0'
Sample 0, representing the soma, has parent -1.

Tree root sample have parent 0.
'x', 'y', 'z' are spatial co-ordinates, given in micrometers.
'length' is the scalar distance between this point and its parent.
'diameter' is dendrite thickness, also given in micrometers.

In the case of the first point,it repesent a cylinder of dimensions length x diameter.
